Dress Code: Step Into Your Fantasy Character
There is no strict uniform, but dressing in theme is strongly encouraged.
For this event we would suggest leaning into the woodland fae courts vibe, think faeries, pixies, goblins, guardians of the forest, bards, medieval themes, leaves, feathers, horns, hooves… anything you would find wandering amongst the depths of the forest.
Accessibility and Inclusive Experience
Berwick House has ramped access via the rear of the property, reached from the car park. Signage will be in place on the day, and our crew will be happy to help if you need any assistance.
We also understand that immersive events can be overwhelming for some guests. That’s why the library will remain intentionally quiet throughout the evening. Storytelling sessions and live painting workshops will take place there, giving guests a calmer space to relax before returning to the festivities.
Travelling to Through The Veil
Travelling by public transport? We’ve made getting to the venue even easier.
A dedicated coach transfer will run between Shrewsbury Railway Station and Berwick House, taking guests directly to the event before returning to the station at the end of the evening.
Whether you’re travelling from elsewhere in Shropshire or further afield, you can enjoy the event without worrying about driving.
return Transfers are £20 + £1.20 booking fee – Cheaper than on-the-night ubers!

🌿 Is this a ball?
Not really – It will include ball elements. Its more of a free-roam event.
There’s no formal seating plan, no strict dance programme, and no expectation to know traditional steps. This is a six-hour immersive fantasy party where you’re free to wander, dance, explore, mingle, and follow the music wherever it leads.
Think enchanted house party, not royal banquet.
🧚 Do I have to dress up?
Yes – costume is part of the experience.
On this night, mortals are stepping into Queen Titania’s realm. To keep the illusion alive, guests are expected to dress in fantasy, folklore, woodland, fae, or myth-inspired attire.
You don’t need to spend a fortune – creativity matters far more than budget.
👗 What if my outfit isn’t elaborate?
That’s absolutely fine.
A flower crown, flowing fabrics, earthy tones, subtle accessories, or fantasy-inspired styling are more than enough. The aim is cohesion and atmosphere, not competition.
🎶 What entertainment is included?
Throughout the evening you can expect:
Live folk music for dancing
Wandering musicians
Interactive fae characters and playful mischief
Atmospheric spaces indoors and in the gardens
The Goblin Market offering handcrafted wares
🍷 What’s included in the ticket price?

Entry to the six-hour immersive revel (6pm–midnight)
A welcome drink on arrival

At the stroke of midnight, Queen Titania’s revel comes to an end.
Music softens, the fae retreat, and guests are expected to depart. Anyone lingering too long may find their path lost…
